Patrick has done an extraordinary job of setting up The HETL Portal and Review. His approach is one of professionalism, integrity and inclusion. The global membership list for HETL is one of the most impressive I have seen and I feel proud to be involved with HETL and to have published my work on the HETL portal. If ever there was a moment in time when new and innovative leadership was required in the Higher Education sector, this is it, and Patrick deserves unequivocal commendation for the work he carries out.

I have worked with ideas stemming from the work of Patrick Blessinger for some time. Patrick is a prolific researcher, teacher, and innovator in the world of Higher Education Teaching and Learning. Patrick has, for some time, been involved in some of the most innovative research in the field. He is relentless in pursuit of ideas that make a difference in improving student engagement and learning outcomes.

Patrick is a well-respected thought leader in academia and he has written several textbooks on instructional technologies. His textbooks are great assets to educators. I consider Patrick to be one of the top experts in the application of technology to improve teaching and learning. Patrick founded the Faculty Academy to help educators in that process. I have worked closely with Patrick on several educational technology projects and I would recommend the Faculty Academy to any educator who wants to use technology to enhance their profession.

Patrick Blessinger epitomizes the academic; the intellectual lucidity, and the entrepreneurial acuity of the modern era. Patrick is a visionary. And as the creator of HETL he has forged a global flow of ideas and knowledge. In the process he places before us the testimonies of our forebears that knowledge is unconfined by time and space, that knowledge has no nationality, that knowledge is a human right and, more importantly, that knowledge is power only if it is freely given and freely received.
